Ethiopians Transported To Tunisia From Libya after the crises

Journalist for African Renaissance {JAR}Addis Ababa) - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said 21 Ethiopians have been transported to Djerba City ofTunisia on Monday in the ongoing efforts to return home Ethiopians living in Libya.
According to a statement the Spokesperson's office of the Ministry sent to ENA on Tuesday, activities have continued strengthened to return home Ethiopians living in Libya and Yemen.

The statement said so far 257 Ethiopians have been transported to Djerba from Libya .

It said the Ethiopians will return home with cooperation of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) as soon as the necessary travel documents are fulfilled.

The government has assigned a diplomat from Ethiopian embassy in Cairo, Egypt to Djerba with a view to facilitating activities to enable the citizens return home.

Similarly, preparations are underway to return home more than 2500 Ethiopians from Yemen, it said.

The Ethiopians are gathered at a Yemeni border town called Haraz, it said, adding, they will return home with the cooperation of the IOM

The government has so far returned home 170 Ethiopians from Yemen, according to the statement.
